"Perhaps if we could ignite more ‘kampong spirit’ we would not have needed that many self help books. After all we can communicate and help each other"

"One aspect of this effect is what’s known as “cognitive tunneling”: everything apart from the relevant peril (a charging bear, a gun aimed at us) becomes invisible. Irrelevant thoughts vanish. Many people facing life-or-death moments report feeling an incredible sense of being focused, alive, aware, and present in the moment."

"

Life involves trial-and-error learning. We cannot possibly know for certain the exact outcome of every decision we make… .

There are many paths in life that no one prepares us for, and, we are certainly not born knowing it all. Who teaches us how to interact with others? We learn this over time through life experience and exposure to different situations. In other words, perceiving life as a journey that takes us in many directions can help relieve the burden of making perfect decisions. Recognize regrets, come to terms with them, and channel energy, thinking, and efforts toward the rest of your journey.

"For example, when the ambitious college bound junior in high school wants to get all A’s, run for student council president, work twenty hours a week to finance a summer trip, and plans to lose fifteen pounds by senior prom, parents just might want to suggest that this amount of self-initiated change is going to cost her in stress. She might want to moderate her goals to make demands of change less excessive."

#Stress
"Putting off an important decision until you’ve had a chance to think it through (instead of relying on impulse) has always been a good idea. “Let me sleep on it and get back to you tomorrow” sums this up nicely."

A bottle to store away the sadness

Upset? Angry? Feel like crying?

Whenever I’m in this situation, I’d imagine that I have a bottle to store all crying and anger away, so that I can concentrate on the task at hand. During my quiet time will I then release to God :)

Just thought of sharing this. It was kind of a revelation to me. I thought I must be strong, not to cry at all but I was wrong. I should release them to God. Only will He be able to heal me. Yet at the same time we can’t just cry as and when we want. So I got this that I should store in a bottle and cap it, only to let the lid off when I’m with God.

TYJ!

Receiving LOVE

Revelation in my heart.

We should all receive LOVE in our spirit. Without the ability to receive love, we are nothing.

There is no protection, there is no blessing, there is no giving, there is no grace, there is no salvation. Do you get me? :)
